Night shift twist. 06/05/2007: Like many engineering firms across the UK, we are now running a night shift, but there's a twist - NO STAFF!
To be fair, this practice isn't uncommon amongst the firms taking advantage of trustworthy 'self checking' machine tools.

How does it work?

Simple - We set and program a ‘bar feeding’ CNC lathe to machine a large qty of parts. The machine automatically maintains itself and it’s tooling. Cutting tools are re calibrated every ‘part cycle’ to maintain accuracy and quality.

The advantages of overnight production are obvious -

No staffing cost can reduce our overheads so much that we can be more competitive on ‘part’ price.

If you require large batches of machined parts and you are aware they are currently being machined in the day time. We will save you up to £10 on hour machining time!
4th time lucky 27/02/2007: Hardinge have successfully installed our 4th axis/indexer on to our VMC this week! Multi plane machining is back on the menu!
Full Steam ahead. 23/02/2007: With a full recovery from the August fire, we are now running at 100%. Brand new CNC machine tools supplied Hardinge!! We couldn't be happier.
